You can go to charing cross mainline railway station, and walk across  the river footbridge. The entrance to this bridge  is in the corner of station by platform 1 next to the stairs, do not go down stairs..walk to your right and keep walking..the bridge runs alongside the railway which takes you to southbank.. walk alongside the festival hall and you will come to Queen Elizebeth hall and there  is a yellow staircase.. (as pictured) the roof garden is up those steps.. those with walking dificulties or a wheelchair there is a lift, just ask in the hall.

 

you can also come from waterloo  mainline station, which is the same side of the river, but not so easy to find festival hall..ask directions.. 

 

 

 

 

 

  suggestions  

 

 

 

 

 

 I have had a couple of suggestions on places to meet.

 

 To piggyback on London Green Drinks, 2nd Tuesday of every month just off Red Lion Square            Very central.

While summer's here we can meet outdoors of course, though the nights are starting to draw in.  there is several central parks to ,meet in with cafes, or pehaps red lion square itself on green drinks day, then if it turns cold we can hop into the bar.

 

I have found a lovely conservatory at the barbican which is central  for if it rains..and it is open to the public on sundays please check the website for times and dates.. I rang them and they do allow picnics, so bring your own food and drink, but I dont know about seating, so bring a blanket although barbican has many cafes/bars and restaurants..  

 

If people want to meet at an apiary then we can use Hackney Community Tree Nursery: not so central but if you can get to Stratford then you're 10 minutes away by bus.
